Tom Millard - Master's degree and award
Yesterday, Tom Millard was awarded a Master's degree with Distinction in Transport Economics, from the University of Leeds. Tom studied the course part time over two years, alongside working full time for PJA. The varied programme comprised modules covering all key areas of the discipline including economic appraisal, pricing techniques, economic regulation and econometrics.
Tom was also awarded the “Arup Transport Studies Prize” for the best dissertation, receiving a mark of 82. The research, titled “What is the impact of urban realm improvements on residential property prices in London?” employs a hedonic regression of the housing market to estimate implicit values for indicators of urban realm quality and accessibility.
