Highways & Engineering

Identifying access solutions to development sites is a core element of our business, together with on-site and off-site highway design.

Achieving satisfactory vehicle access is the key to unlocking development sites.  The experienced highway engineers and transport planners at PJA are experts in identifying feasible access options, working with relevant design guidelines and negotiating with highway authorities at local and national levels.

We are also proficient in the design of highway infrastructure and identifying off-site highway mitigation measures.

PJA can offer highway design solutions from feasibility through to preliminary designs for planning approval, plus detailed designs for S278 and S38 agreements.

In addition, we now also offer a full land development service through our new engineering business - PJA Engineering.  Core services areas are Infrastructure Design, Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering, Drainage and Flood Risk, and Utilities Design.  Click here for further details on the specialist website.
